“Image Is Everything”

Hello Everyone,

Some of you knew about this but for those of you that didn't I would like to share a little testimony. Over two years ago God put an inspiration in my heart to work on a second book. I felt so strongly about its message - How God has taken drastic measures to restore His image in mankind. As we allow this image to be restored within us, it answers all of life's questions, and helps us know who we are and what we were made for.  I really felt that this message is especially important for young adults. I worked very hard on this project for over 6 months. Then it was time to submit it to publishers- a very stressful time for a writer. Two of our major publishing houses liked it, but not enough to invest in it. The time was not right for the publisher of my first book either. So there the project sat. In my computer. For two years. During that time I questioned God's call for me to write this book, I got frustrated with publishers, I tried various other efforts to get this book published- no success. I had many frustrations, and questions for God.     2 Years.      Then about 5 months ago I gave Remnant Publications one more call. Resubmitted. The book review came back with this answer. "Not only is this an important message for young adults but for everyone", and Remnant said "We would like to publish your manuscript".  It is amazing how God works. I had no idea what He was doing.  EVERYTHING HAPPENS IN HIS TIME! Trust brothers and sisters. TRUST. When something is His will it WILL happen in His time.

Some of you have asked how to get the book. If we order in bulk I can get a discounted price, and it will save on shipping. Please reply to this email and I will begin to collect orders. I will place the order on the 15th of November. If you don't want to wait that long here is the link to the Remnant Website. The book actually releases November 1 but if you preorder you can get it early.

I am so thankful that God not only made this project a reality, but that He taught me a lesson in the process.   Praise Jesus.

A Message from our old Pastor

There he was.  I'd seen him and his brother huddled on their mat on the side of the road several times in the few days I had been in Kurnool India and for some reason they, among the scores of impoverished beggars, had captured my heart.  I new that anything I could give would be appreciated but I also new that money would be spent and then the gift would be ended and i wanted to give something that would last longer than one meal.  That was why I had decided that I would give them my water.  They would drink the water and then refill the bottle from public faucets using it as a kind of canteen.

The boy was distracted whenI placed the bottle in front of him.  And I had walked perhaps twenty steps down the road before he even saw it.  When he did he just looked at it as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing.  Then he looked up and down the street to see who had given him this gift.  When his eyes met mine he beamed the brightest smile and pulled the bottle to him like it was a precious jewel.  Now he and his brother would have water to drink while they begged in the hot Indian sun.

As I think back on experience it occurs to me that God has placed before each one of us a gift infinitely more precious and even more necessary.  God has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit to live in and guide us, and strengthen us for every part of our lives.  But do we really appreciate how precious that gift is.  Do we recognize that in this gift we have been given a source of power and peace that will never run dry and that will make the difference between life and death, victory or defeat.  Do we gaze in wonder and grab onto that gift as the boy did with the water bottle.

John 1612,3 tells us that the Holy spirit will "guide us" to the things of Christ and Acts 1:8 tells us that he will give us power to be Christ's witnesses.  I think its time we turned to God for a filling of the spirit that will prepare us to serve him and finish the work he has called us to do for him.
